In the third quarter of 2025, the top business finance and solutions applications in the United Kingdom showcased varied performance trends across downloads and active users. This analysis, based on Sensor Tower data, provides a closer look at these trends on a unified platform.
SumUp: Payments and POS saw a decline in weekly downloads from over 26K in early July to approximately 16.8K by the end of September. Despite this, weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 345K and finishing the quarter with an increase to 329K.
Tide - Mobile Business Banking experienced a growth in weekly downloads, peaking at about 8.9K in late September. The app's active user base also rose significantly, reaching nearly 360K by the quarter's end.
Square Point of Sale (POS) maintained a steady download rate, hovering around 6K to 7K throughout the quarter. However, active users declined from 118K to approximately 93K.
